The BMW R69US was auctioned July 28, 2007 during the AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days Show, with all proceeds going to benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Thank you to all who participated in the auctions both online and live at the show. We also thank all the providers and restoration specialists who contributed their time and resources to make this project possible.
There were several online bidders who helped create a good volley of bids at the auction. There were online bids of, $600, $6250.00, and $10,000, but the ultimate winning bid came from the live auction.
AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days Auction
The BMW R69US sold to a live bidder at the AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days auction for $20,000. Several bids came in both online and in the audience.
Restoration in Progress will auction a restored classic BMW R69US motorcycle at the AMA Vintage Days Motorcycle Days Show July 28, 2007, located at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course Infield. All proceeds from the auction will go to benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. A benefit dinner will be held July 28 to preview the bike at the Deer Ridge Golf Club, in Bellville Ohio.
